Based in the Meelick and Parteen area of County Clare, we play our soccer in the Limerick District League (Junior and Youths (17s,18s)), The Limerick District Schoolboy/Girl League (Under 8's to 16's). Originally formed as Meelick/Parteen FC, We now play as Parkville FC. While we are currently without a home pitch. The good work of a number of people has seen us get a lease from the Department of Defence on a Pitch in Knockalisheen, work is currently underway on this Pitch. Work on the Pitch in Knockalisheen is at an advanced stage now and we will be ready to start playing there for the new season which will kick off in August. The work of a number of individuals has meant that we are getting things together much faster than planned. The Chairman Niall Ward and Ger OBrien are the driving force and this is great to see. New Years Day: A Memorial

Married v Singles Match. A chance to remember past times and players.   The recent Married v Singles game on New Years Day, brought to mind that this was an annual occasion, where present players and those from the past got to meet together on the pitch and afterwards in Flashes to have a few drinks and remember past games and glories. While all our memories are not always of victories, we have had some great occasions over the years and nearly everyone can remember a few. Trophies and medals have not always been, the be all and end all of playing soccer, but when they came our way we always celebrated.   While the Annual match is now played for the John Considine Shield, the singles have won more of the games over the 20 years it has been played. I must point out that on 2 occasions it has not taken place, but on both occasions the sessions have gone ahead. It is good to see that schoolboys from the early years are now playing for the Married side.   Those who have played for the Club, have in the majority gone on to do better things in life, and some of them have families of their own. I would like to take this opportunity to remind, all who have played or are playing for the Club, of those who are not with us anymore.   The following are those, members who are no longer with us, and as you read this just take a minute to remember them.   Patrick Pa Duffy, Steven Chopper Browne, Thomas and Alan Boyce, Mark Burton, John Considine, Willie McLoughlin Snr, Michael McNamara, Jeff ODonnell, Steven Brains OGrady, Ian Higgins. Married v singles 2009
	The John Considine trophy was again won by the singles following a 1,all draw, on a penalty shootout. It was a case of the better eyesight of the younger players winning out. Frankie Walsh gave the singles the lead but Dave Shine scored a cracker from 3 yards out to level matters before the shootout settled matters.  Photos of both the married and singles teams are shown below

Another win for the singles as they beat the married by 6 goals to one. Darren McNamra and Mark Lonergan put the singles 2 up early on, but Willie OShaughnessy headed home just before the break to cut the lead. In the second half John Cunningham, Mark Lonergan, Colm OBrien and Darren Plunkett completed the scoring. It was good to see the return of a number of players with the Singles calling mark noonan and Mattie McLoughlin out of retirement. While Ger OBrien and the evergreen Nigel Devine also togged out for the Marrieds. Terry McDonnell was the winning Capt and he says its his last game for the singles, he hopes to play for the Married team next year.
