Life Membership, Fundraising.

The Life membership committment has fallen off recently and following a meeting, where parents were asked to attend on the 19th of May. The following suggestions were made. A. That Players and Parents make a committment to the Club to take a life membership and possibly put away just €2 per week in a box or mug. At the end of a year they would have the money to purchase a life membership. B. The Club would supply Buster Cards to any Parent or Player that wishes to purchase a Life Membership. Buster cards contain 40 squares with a team name in each box. On the top of the card is a covered square with the name of a team. Selling the boxes at €2 each would raise €80 and the seller would give a €40 prize to the person that bought the matching box. If 3 cards were sold €120 would be collected and after paying the €100 for the life membership the seller would have €20 profit. These cards are available from Ken OBrien only. C. Players, explayers and parents, friends or workmates, who wish to purchase a life membership outright can do so by contacting any member. Currently a number of Life members are paying off the Life Membership in installments.
